Jobseekers Flock to Job Fair Held at Velodrome

The jobseekers remained enthusiastic to flock to Job Fair at the Jakarta International Velodrome, Rawamangun, East Jakarta even though the rain poured since early morning.

The Job Fair launched by Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung is participated by 37 private companies by providing 2,000 job vacancies.

One of the jobseekers, Amelia (18), admitted she wants to get a job according to her interior design skill.

"I just graduated from State Vocational School 52 Jakarta. Hopefully, there are companies looking for fresh graduates like me," she hoped, Tuesday (8/19).

She appreciated the job fair held by East Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Sub-agency.

"This event is helpful for us to get a job," she added.

Meanwhile, East Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Sub-agency Head, Galuh Prasiwi, explained this third job fair event also involves related regional working units to provide program and service information.

"Here you will find information on job training, integrated service cars for PTSP, Dukcapil and Samsat Keliling, and Mobile Training Units (MTU)," she explained.

She advised applicants to remain enthusiastic and never give up in getting job, while continuing to develop their competencies.

"There needs to be a link and match in searching job. Continue to improve your knowledge and skills," she emphasized.
